Therapeutic Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissue of whole body areas or specific area of the body to bring about generalized improvements in health, such as relaxation or improved sleep, or specific physical benefits, such as relief of muscular aches and pains. For example, for someone with tension in a particular muscle group from a sports injury or repetitive use, therapeutic massage will focus on relieving pain at that location.
